Soulsearcher

Soulsearcher is a project by the producer and musician Marc Pomeroy.

Under this pseudonym, he achieved his biggest club success in 1999 with the track Can't Get Enough. This house song incorporates a sample from Let's Lovedance Tonight and the vocals of two legendary singers: Donna Allen and Thea Austin.

Marc Pomeroy is also half of the renowned remix team “Jazz-N-Groove Productions” and co-owner of the label Soulfuric Recordings. An accomplished producer, sound engineer, and multi-instrumentalist, he has an eclectic musical heritage, influenced by artists ranging from Steely Dan to MSFB, and developed an early passion for American house music.

Besides Soulsearcher, he produces under other aliases such as Deepstar, Urban Blues Project, or Deep End. He has also created remixes for numerous artists, from Loleatta Holloway to Busta Rhymes, and has produced in varied styles including hip-hop and R&B.

Following the success of Can't Get Enough, the project released two other well-received singles: Do It To Me Again in 2000 and Feelin' Love in 2003.

A passionate collector of vintage instruments and equipment, Marc Pomeroy collects and restores classic synthesizers and mixing consoles, like the 1979 Neve console used by Soulfuric, helping to define the warm, retro sound of his productions.
