Simone Jay
Biography
Simone Jay is the stage name of Simone Jackson Clark, sometimes credited as Simone Jay or Simone Jay.
Associated with the italo dance and eurodance scenes, she alternated project collaborations with a solo career. In the early 1990s she met producer Roberto Zanetti (their collaboration began in 1993) and joined the Italian DWA catalogue, singing on the producer’s productions and serving as the lead vocalist on tracks for the project Ice MC.
At the same time she was a member of the collective Netzwerk, contributing vocals to tracks such as Passion and Memories. As a solo artist, her release on the VCI label, Wanna B Like A Man, was presented as her first single and received notable attention in Italy; she also released Give Me Love and Paradise, and collaborated with DJ Dado.
More recently she released Last Summer (2021), extending the discography of an artist known for her contributions to 1990s and later eurodance and italo dance projects.
