Biography
Sasha Alex Sloan, born Alexandra Yatchenko, is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter also known under the aliases Sasha Sloan and Sasha Yatchenko.
She began her career in 2017 by providing vocals for established electronic artists such as King Henry, Kaskade, and ODESZA, and as the lead vocalist on This Town from the *Stargazing* EP.
In late 2017, she started releasing her own songs, beginning with Ready Yet, followed by Runaway. A series of singles preceded the release of her first EP, *Sad Girl*, in 2018 on RCA Records.
Her second EP, *Loser*, was released on November 29, 2018, featuring the single Older performed on *The Late Show with Stephen Colbert*. Her third EP, *Self-Portrait*, came out on October 18, 2019.
On April 3, 2020, she released the single I'll Wait, produced by Kygo. On August 7, 2020, she unveiled Lie, the first single from her debut album *Only Child*, released on October 16, 2020. On November 19, 2020, a collaboration with Charlie Puth titled Is It Just Me? was released.
On April 22, 2021, she teamed up with country star Sam Hunt for when was it over?. On May 12, 2021, she was featured on Barcelona.
In August 2021, she announced that she had to change her stage name from Sasha Sloan to Sasha Alex Sloan for legal reasons, with the new name honoring her birth name, Alexandra Artourovna Yatchenko.
On March 18, 2022, she released her first single under her new name, WTF, featured on her album *I Blame The World* released on May 13, 2022.
