Biography

Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter, born May 11, 1999 in Pennsylvania, is an American singer, songwriter and actress.

She began very young, first gaining attention with YouTube covers before turning to acting; her breakthrough role was Maya Hart in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World (2014–2017), which earned her a dedicated fanbase.

Alongside acting, her passion for music led to a deal with Hollywood Records. She released her first single Can't Blame a Girl for Trying in 2014, which titled her debut EP. Her first studio album, Eyes Wide Open (2015), combined teen-pop sensibility with vocal maturity.

Her musical evolution continued with EVOLution (2016), Singular: Act I (2018) and Singular: Act II (2019), incorporating electropop and R&B influences.

In 2021 she signed with Island Records; her fifth studio album, Emails I Can’t Send (2022), was widely praised by critics and commercially successful, featuring viral tracks like Nonsense and Because I Liked a Boy, cementing her place in mainstream pop.

In 2024 she announced her sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet, preceded by the hit singles Espresso and Please Please Please. This period marked a more playful, assured musical tone, blending retro pop stylings with her sharp lyricism.

On June 5, 2025 she released the single Manchild, followed by the announcement of her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, released August 29, 2025. A bonus edition of the album including Such a Funny Way was released December 24, 2025.

Her charm, wit, stage confidence and engaged social media presence have played a major role in her popularity and connection with a global audience.
