Biography
Rising Star is an alias used by the Dutch disc jockey and producer Armin Van Buuren, whose full name is Armin Jozef Jacobus Daniël van Buuren.
This alias was primarily employed in the late 1990s and early 2000s for remixes, although some original compositions were also released under this name.
The project is associated with the trance and progressive trance genres.
Among the many other pseudonyms used by Armin van Buuren are Perpetuous Dreamer, Hyperdrive Inc., Gimmick, Problem Boy, Amsterdance, Armania, The Shoeshine Factory, Armin Van Buuren, El Guitaro, Gig, Darkstar (4), Misteri A, Vit-Armin B, Vorlaut Boy, and Butt Spanker.
