Regi

Regi (Reginald Paul Stefan Penxten) was born on 4 March 1976 in Hasselt.

He began making music at 12 after buying his first computer and connecting it to a synthesizer; he also learned to read music at the academy and played guitar when young.

At 18 he released his first EPs, Underground and Trance, on the labels Dance Opera and Illusion and decided to pursue a music career, although he studied Telecommunications-Electronics at his parents’ insistence.

His breakthrough came in 1996 with the track La Vache, a major hit in France that led to multiple performances there.

He is best known as co-founder, producer and frontman of the Belgian project Milk Inc., but he has launched many other projects with various singers and producers.

Alongside production he began DJing small events: resident DJ at Club Illusion, then guest DJ first there and later at Club Mystique which succeeded it. His style mixes Trance, Vocals, House, Groove, 2Step and R&B.

With other DJs and the owner of Club Illusion he co-founded the label Art Group Music (AGM). He also started his own label, Sookie (neverending beats), where he works as a sound engineer.

He produces and hosts the radio show Trance N Dance, has remixed acts like Duran Duran, 2 Unlimited and Boney M., and mixes compilations.

He currently creates Dance and Trance for groups such as Milk Inc., Sylver, Flesh & Bones, Tiny K., Tld and La Luna.
