Phats and Small

Phats and Small is a British duo of electronic dance music producers and DJs, formed in Brighton in 1998. It consists of Jason Hayward (alias “Phats”) and Russell Small. In 1999, Ben Ofoedu joined the group as the lead singer. Initially, his voice was meant to remain anonymous on the singles, but the considerable interest in his exceptional timbre led to his integration as a full member.

Many of the duo’s productions were co-produced by James Wiltshire, also known as Jimmy Gomez. Phats and Small have also worked under various aliases, including Mutant Disco, Bad Cabbage and Small Phat One.
