Biography
Perplexer is a German music project active since the mid-1990s, primarily in the rave, techno, and trance scenes. The collective has involved several producers over time, with early singles produced by Ramon Zenker, Andreas Schneider, and Uwe Papenroth. Other producers, such as Arndt Meyer-Wegner, Alex Breuer, and Marko Albrecht, joined the project later. The public face was Marc Olbertz, who performed as DJ Perplexer at raves and represented the group in the media. The project is also known as DJ Perplexer, Perplexor, Perplezer, The Perplexer, and uses the alias Scottish Pipes. Its musical style encompasses rave, techno, trance, house, eurodance, and happy hardcore, embodying the characteristic energy of the German electronic scene of the 90s.
