Odyssey

Odyssey

Biography

Odyssey is a project by Martin and Giorgio Koppehele. Vocals were performed by Lisa Cash, also credited as LC. Lyrics were written by PS I + PS II, and Suna Cope was also responsible for the vocal arrangements.

The first singles were produced and released by Metronome Musik GmbH, and the group was later signed to Intercord.

The single that started it all was Let Yourself Go, successful enough to be followed immediately by a remixes CD. Next came Talk To Me (also followed by a remixes CD) with a contribution from Deon Blue (from the project Pharao, credited as MD Thomas: Marcus Deon Thomas). Then came Riding On A Train (a first remixes CD, then another one featuring U.S.U.R.A. remixes), Move Your Body (followed by two remixes CDs, vol. I and vol. II), and Into The Light (again followed by a remixes CD), all in the Eurodance vein.

The follow-up Face To Face was released in 1995 and remixed by Felix J. Gauder. It was followed by Everybody Move with remixes by Bass Bumpers. These releases were gathered on the album Love Train.

In 1996 they returned with Boom Boom Free Your Mind, featuring rap parts by Barna. The second album, Boom Boom, was finished in 1998 and released in March 1999 by Intercord.

Not to be confused with the disco-soul project Odyssey associated with tracks such as Native New Yorker and Magic Touch.

In 2008, Talk To Me was covered by a project called Triple Bounce in a Hands up style, with a rapper.
