No Mercy

Biography

The group No Mercy was formed in 1995 by German producer Frank Farian and comprises Marty Cintron III from New York and twin brothers Ariel Hernandez and Gabriel Hernandez from Miami.

In 1995 they released the single Missing, a cover of Everything but the Girl’s 1994 hit; their debut album My Promise (titled No Mercy in the United States) was released in October 1996 and produced several international hits, including Where Do You Go (a cover of La Bouche), Please Don't Go, and When I Die.

The album was a commercial success — notably certified double platinum in Australia — and reached the top 5 in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

The following single, Kiss You All Over (a cover of Exile), entered the top 20 in Austria, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and the Ocean Drive Remix of Where Do You Go appears on the soundtrack of the film A Night At The Roxbury.

Their second album, More, released in 1998, included the singles Hello How Are You, More than a Feeling (originally by Boston) and Tu Amor (a cover of Jon B.); although less successful than its predecessor, it reached the top 10 in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

In 2002 the single Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, with guitarist Al Di Meola, was released to gauge interest in a third album; some tracks were ultimately reworked for Daniel Lopes’s solo album, Shine On (2003), on which No Mercy appears on the track Summer Angel.

The third album, Day By Day, was released in October 2007 on the independent Australian label Show No Mercy Entertainment Pty Ltd.

In December 2011 the single Shed My Skin, with Stan Kolev, was distributed.

Currently Marty Cintron performs in Europe under the name No Mercy.
