Biography
Mikael Mats Robert Persson, professionally known as Mike Perry, is a Swedish DJ and music producer born on 24 June 1983 in Skövde.
His music career began in 2007 with the release of Psycadelic, a collaboration with Stephan M. He followed in 2012 with the track Put Me Up on the Mark Brown label. His collaborations also include We Don't Sleep in the Night with Cecilia Axeland and Whompin with Filip Jenven. In 2013 he demonstrated his versatility by remixing Push & Play by Miriam Bryant in a big room style.
His major breakthrough came in 2016 with the single The Ocean, featuring the vocals of Shy Martin. The track reached number one on the Swedish chart and entered the Top 10 in several countries such as Austria, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland and Switzerland.
That same year he released Inside the Lines with singer Casso, which reached the top 20 in Finland and the top 25 in Sweden. He also collaborated on the tropical house track Touching You Again with Hot Shade, Jane XØ and singer Phoebe Ryan.
In 2017 he announced the single Hands with American singer Sabrina Carpenter and British boy band The Vamps. The year 2018 saw the release of the singles California with Hot Shade and Karlyn, and Don't Hide with Willemijn May, which found success in Sweden.
On 18 January 2019 he released Runaway, which reached number one in the United States, Chile and Hungary. The same year he collaborated with DJs Ten Times and Dmitri Vangelis, and the group The Companions, on the single Changes.
