Masterboy

Biography

Masterboy is a German Eurodance group formed in 1990 by producers Tommy Schleh and Enrico Zabler, who met in a London club in 1989. The singer Beatrix Delgado joined the group in 1992 and was at the heart of their biggest international hits, such as Everybody Needs Somebody (1993), Feel The Heat Of The Night and I Got To Give It Up (1994), as well as Generation Of Love (1995). The first album, *The Masterboy Family*, was released in 1991, followed by *Different Dreams* in 1994. Trixi Delgado left the group in 1996 and was replaced by Linda Rocco (1996-1997) and later Annabell Kay (1999-2000). The album *Colours* (1997) with Linda Rocco had moderate success. The band also collaborated with Beatrice Obrecht and Frederick B. Williams, and used aliases such as Cardenia, Mediteria or Comico Base. In November 2013, the original trio reunited for a concert in Mannheim after 17 years, reigniting interest and leading to projects like a compilation of rearranged hits.
