Biography

Martin Rolinski (full name: Martin Andrzej Rolinski) is a Swedish singer, born on 23 June 1982 in Angered. Both of his parents are of Polish origin, and he speaks Polish fluently. He grew up in Gothenburg and attended a Catholic school. A talented tennis player, he was among Sweden’s top juniors and even received an offer to join a tennis school in Texas, but chose to stay in Sweden to pursue a master’s degree in engineering at KTH (Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan) in Stockholm.

His music career began in 2002 when, on a dare, he took part in the reality TV show Popstars. He made it into the final group but was eliminated mid-season. In 2003, he worked with Anders Hansson, who introduced him to Alexander Bard. Martin then became the lead singer of Alexander Bard’s new group Bodies Without Organs (BWO), alongside Marina Schiptjenko and Alexander Bard himself. The band’s sound blended electropop and Dance.

In 2004, BWO released its debut single Living In A Fantasy, which found success in several European countries. The group entered Melodifestivalen 2005 with Gone without much impact, then released its first album Prototype in March 2005. The following year, BWO returned to Melodifestivalen with Temple of Love, finishing second. The group then adopted the shortened name Bodies Without Organs and released the album Halcyon Days in April 2006. Around this time, Martin Rolinski was recognized as one of Sweden’s most popular singers.

Alongside his music career, Martin continued his engineering studies in Stockholm. He lives with his partner, Katarina. More recently, he released the track Let There Be Love (2026).
