Marc et Claude

Biography

Marc et Claude are a German electronic production and trance duo, composed of Marc Romboy and Klaus Derichs. Their career began in earnest during the explosion of German trance in the mid-to-late 1990s; their first release, Toulouse, came out on their own label, Le Petit Prince Records.

In 1997 they teamed up with producer Jürgen Driessen to create the track La, which reached number one on the German dance charts and allowed them to reach the UK audience. In the late 1990s and early 2000s they followed with several UK top 40 hits; their biggest hit remains I Need Your Lovin' (Like The Sunshine), released in 2000 and peaking at number 12, which samples Everybody's Got to Learn Sometime by The Korgis; this single was dedicated to their summer tour associated with the island of Ibiza.

Alongside their musical activity, Marc Romboy and Klaus Derichs are co-owners of the label Alphabet City, which has hosted artists such as Ferry Corsten and Future Breeze.
