
Magnus Carlsson
Biography
Magnus Carlsson, whose full name is Lars Magnus Carlsson, is a Swedish singer born on 24 June 1974 in Borås.
He began his career as the lead singer of the schlager group Barbados, where he remained for eleven years. In 2002, he joined the Swedish pop-disco group Alcazar as a fourth member.
Magnus Carlsson is also known for his frequent participation in Melodifestivalen, Sweden’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. He competed almost every year between 2000 and 2007, except for 2004, either with Barbados, Alcazar, or as a solo artist.
In 2006, he qualified for the Melodifestivalen final with the song Lev livet!, composed by Anders Glenmark and Niklas Strömstedt. The following year, in 2007, he competed again as a solo artist with the song Live forever, but did not reach the final.
After his years with Alcazar, Magnus Carlsson continued his career as a solo artist.
