Biography
Love Inc. is a Canadian dance project founded in Toronto by Chris Sheppard.
The group brought together Brad Daymond (real name Bradley Daymond Ralph; died 3 August 2018, aged 48), Chris Sheppard (Christopher John Sheppard: DJ and radio personality, largely responsible for supporting and promoting the Canadian top‑40 dance scene in the 1990s; directed and mixed many compilations including Pirate Radio Sessions, Destination Dance Floor, Groove Station and the Club Cutz volumes; early mixing and editing work for bands such as Skinny Puppy and Moev) and vocalist Simone Denny.
Simone Denny is described as a Canadian music icon and the original voice of the dance and house movement in Canada, often called the Queen of Canadian dance & house music. She is a seven‑time Juno nominee and four‑time winner and has topped the Billboard Dance Chart five times with projects including Love Inc., BKS and Widelife.
Club anthems associated with her voice include You’re A Superstar, Broken Bones, Astroplane, Who Do You Love, Into The Night, Here Comes The Sunshine, I Don’t Want You and Cliché. She is also the voice of the original Emmy‑winning TV show Queer Eye For The Straight Guy theme All Things (Just Keep Getting Better).
Simone Denny has toured worldwide as a headliner of clubs, dance festivals and PRIDE events, with performances at the Kennedy Center (Washington DC), NYC Pride and LA Pride. She has shared bills with artists such as Patti LaBelle, Martha Wash, Thea Austin, Ultra Naté, Robin S., Rob Base and Vengaboys.
During the pandemic she closed the nationally broadcast CBC special Canada’s New Year’s Eve: Countdown to 2021 with a performance of You’re A Superstar alongside Tyler Shaw. In 2023 she headlined Manchester’s New Year’s Eve celebrations at Royal Albert Hall and recently scored an Irish dance No.1 with Belters Only for a remake of Superstar.
