Jurgen Vries is a trance project led by English producer and DJ Darren Tate (Darren Isaac Tate). Under this alias, he scored multiple UK Top 40 chart entries.
Key singles include The Theme (2002), which reached No. 13. In 2003, The Opera Song (Brave New World) climbed to No. 3, while Wilderness reached No. 20. The run continued in 2004 with Take My Hand, which peaked at No. 23.
Beyond Jurgen Vries, Darren Tate has been active across the electronic scene through several other aliases and projects, including Orion, Citizen Caned, DT8 Project, Alphaland and Glimmer, while also releasing music under his own name.
