
John Gibbons
Biography
John Gibbons is an Irish DJ and producer based in London, working in Dance and electronic music. He began his career in 2008 with Beautiful Filth, then focused for several years on production and remix work.
From 2015 onward, he released a run of successful singles and signed a publishing deal with Good Soldier Songs. He gained international recognition through pop-dance covers and productions, notably Would I Lie to You? (2016) and P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) (2017), which achieved major success in the UK and Ireland and earned multiple Gold and Platinum certifications.
Alongside his own releases, he has delivered official remixes for international artists including Olly Murs, Anne-Marie, Calum Scott, Bastille, Westlife, Delta Goodrem, Picture This and Gavin James. Other notable tracks include Sunglasses in the Rain, Sweat (A La La La La Long), Hotstepper, Let Me Love You and A Spaceman Came Travelling; the latter cover was performed live with Nina Nesbitt and Chris de Burgh on Irish television.
In 2020, he founded his own label, BLINDsided, whose first single Me & U found strong success in Ireland. In 2023, he signed an artist deal with Sony Music and released All I Need with American singer Treetalk.
