Biography

Ήβη Αδάμου, known by her stage name Ivi Adamou, is a Greek Cypriot singer, born on November 24, 1993, in Paralimni, Famagusta District, and raised in Ayia Napa.

She rose to fame by finishing sixth in the second season of the Greek version of «The X Factor» in 2009-2010, becoming a symbol for teenagers in Greece thanks to her charismatic voice and style.

In 2012, she represented Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Azerbaijan, with the song La La Love, selected on January 25, 2012, during a show where she also performed You Don't Belong Here and Call The Police.

Her contemporary and addictive voice allows her to tackle a varied repertoire, from powerful ballads to energetic pop sounds. Her main influences are Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, and Whitney Houston.

She is the second child of Adamos and Marianna Adamou (of Bulgarian origin), has two sisters named Despina and Kleopatra, and is a graduate of Paralimni Lyceum.
