Biography
Francesco Yates, born Francesco David Yates, is a Canadian singer-songwriter born on September 11, 1995 in Toronto.
He began writing music at age 11 and signed with Atlantic Records at 16. His debut self-titled EP, “Francesco Yates”, was released on September 11, 2015 and was co-produced by Robin Hannibal and Phharrell Williams.
In 2015 he won the Heatseeker Award at the Canadian Radio Music Awards and performed at the official Canada Day celebration in Ottawa. The same year he provided vocals on Robin Schulz‘s track Sugar and took part in We Day events across Canada.
In 2016 he opened for the “Hello World Tour” by Canadian pop rock band Hedley, alongside Carly Rae Jepsen. He also supported Justin Timberlake as an opener on the “Man Of The Woods” tour in the United States and Canada in 2018 and 2019.
Francesco Yates has released three EPs to date: his self-titled EP in 2015, “Superbad” in 2020 and “Little Rockstar” in 2023.
