DJ Sakin and Friends
Biography
The project DJ Sakin and Friends is a German musical collaboration centered on producers Sakin Bozkurt and Torsten Stenzel, with vocalist Janet Taylor.
Sakin Bozkurt (DJ Sakin) has been an influential figure in the German techno scene since 1990, starting as a resident DJ at Wartburg and Music Hall in Frankfurt. Torsten Stenzel, regarded as one of Germany’s best producers, has collaborated with artists like Taucher, Ayla, and York.
In 1998, the project released the trance anthem Protect Your Mind (For The Love Of A Princess) on the Overdose label. The track became an international success, reaching the Top 5 in many European countries and earning gold and platinum certifications in Germany, the UK, Denmark, Norway, and Finland.
DJ Sakin later toured globally and was involved in other projects such as Three Kings, 2 Unlimited, 2OU, Vatos Locos Bros, and The Sound Of Overdose. The project is also known by the names D.J. Sakin & Friends, Sakin & Friends, or simply DJ Sakin and Friends.
