Di Bronx and Natali
Biography
Di Bronx and Natali (Ди-Бронкс & Натали) is a Eurodance project best known for rapping and singing in Russian. The story begins in 1994, when D-Bronx (real name Denis Shpitalnikov), then working as a DJ in Minsk, set out to create a Eurodance act on a par with Western productions.
The duo was formed with the help of producer Valery “Valeks” Buyak and composer DJ AleX, who wrote all the songs on the first two albums. Two vocalists succeeded each other under the name Natali: first Natali Artemova, a jazz singer, then Natacha Kudrina (Natali), who appears on the album “Zemlya Mechti”.
Their debut single, Energia Liubvi (Energy of Love), became the breakthrough. The first album, “Energy of Love”, was released in 1996 on Polygram Russia and achieved massive success, quickly making the duo one of the hottest acts in Moscow and across Russia.
On 31 August 1996, they performed at the “Dancing City” concert in Moscow alongside Eurodance artists such as E-Type, Snap!, and Masterboy. The duo even consider them their artistic “fathers”, with some songs drawing inspiration from their world.
Their second album, “Zemlya Mechty” (The World of Dreams), was released on 1 September 1997 and included a cover of an 80s hit by Alla Pugacheva, Balalaika. The switch from the first Natali to the second went almost unnoticed by the public.
After a break and rumours of a split, the duo resurfaced unexpectedly in November 1999 at the “Gold Hit” festival in Mogilev. A new album, “Forever”, was announced for 2000.
In 2002, the album “Potomu Shto” finally came out, mainly available in Russia and Germany. That same year they released Vremya Rozhestva (Christmas time). The following years saw singles such as Vremya Bystree Vetra (2003) and a new version of Balalika in 2004.
In parallel, both Natalis pursued solo careers. Natali Artemova, now known as Natali Art, released the 2008 album “Par delà les frontières”. Natalya Kudrina also issued several singles under her own name before adopting the pseudonym Venera.
The duo continued to appear sporadically, such as in 2013 for a remix of Balalaika. In 2024 the project announced its return with a new single, and in 2026 released Nebesa, accompanied by a music video.
