Colourz
Biography
Colourz is an Italo dance project formed by Vanni Giorgilli, Saverio Ariemma and E.L. Balcazar.
The project is also active under the alias Edge of Universe.
Among its members, Vanni Giorgilli (real name Giovanbattista Giorgilli) was born in Fiuggi, Italy, on November 11th, 1973. He studied classical piano as a child and worked as a DJ from the age of 14, later playing in clubs across Central Italy. He took part in the DMC DJ championships and reached first place.
Using a sampler and a PC, he then moved into production: his first hit, Harekrisna, came out in 1994 under the pseudonym Iskon. In 1997 he launched his own setup, Subside Records, which led to a strict collaboration with Do It Yourself. He went on to deliver productions including work for Carolina Márquez, Molella and Regina, as well as a series of remixes.
Subside later became an organization made up of three modern recording studios and a publishing company, Vanni G Music. He also took part in the 52nd edition of the Sanremo Music Festival as songwriter, arranger and producer for the girl group Lollipop with the entry Batte Forte.
