Anjulie, full name Anjulie Persaud, is a Canadian singer-songwriter born on May 21, 1983, in Oakville, Ontario.

She began writing and composing her own music during her teenage years. Her self-titled debut album, “Anjulie”, was co-written and produced in collaboration with Jon Levine, a member of the Canadian band The Philosopher Kings.

Her personal musical universe blends diverse influences, including pop, hip-hop, rock, and world rhythms, reflecting the sounds she heard during her childhood. She is sometimes mentioned alongside artists like Nelly Furtado, Corinne Bailey Rae, or Lily Allen.

Among her early contributions are the song Say Goodbye to Jr. High, as well as backing vocals and percussion on the 2005 album “Unfabulous and More”.
