Andrea

Andrea, born Teodora Rumenova Andreeva, is a Bulgarian pop-folk singer, born on 23 January 1987.

Her musical career began with producer Lyusi Ilarionov: her first single, Kato nepoznat, was released in June 2006 and her first video followed a month later. In March 2008 she released her debut album, Ogan v kravta.

In August 2008 she recorded a duet with Romanian star Costi Ionita, Samo moi, which became a summer hit. That collaboration led to numerous hits such as Izbiram teb, Upotrebena, Neblagodaren, Lazha go s teb and Lyubovnik. Costi Ionita also composed other major Andrea hits like Men si tarsil, Day mi vsichko, Hayde, Opa and Izlazhi me, featured on her albums Men si tarsil (October 2009) and Andrea (December 2010).

Andrea and Costi also worked together within the project Sahara, creating modern dance music for European and international audiences. Some of their tracks were made in collaboration with global stars such as Bob Sinclar, Shaggy and Mario Winans. In 2009, as part of Sahara, she recorded the single Bellezza with Geo Da Silva, and she appears with Sahara on DJ Bob Sinclar’s track and video I Wanna (2010), featuring Shaggy.

In 2011 she expanded into the American market with tracks like Mine ft. Mario Winans and Champagne ft. Shaggy. The same year she released Na eks featuring Kristal, Dokray and a duet with Bulgarian singer Boris Soltariyiski titled Preday se.

In early April 2012 Andrea left the Sahara project to focus on her solo career; Costi Ionita then launched a contest to replace her and continue the project. In 2012 she released the single Only you featuring Gabriel Davi.
