Alexandra Prince

Biography

Alexandra Prince, born Alexandra Prinz, is a singer and songwriter based in Hamburg, Germany, where she was born in 1975.

She began her career in the German band Booya Family, performing several hits, including Nana’s number-one hit Lonely. Her first solo single, How we Livin, spent sixteen weeks in the German top 30.

In 2005, she established herself as a renowned house diva through the international success of So many Times (feat. Gadjo), which she both performed and wrote. The track reached number one on global dance charts and number 22 on the official UK charts.

For her first album, she collaborated with major house producers such as Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Syke´n Sugarstarr, and Till West & DJ Delicious. She also wrote songs for Oliver Moldan, DJ Moguai, and the label Deep Dish.

A natural live performer, she regularly performs in the world’s top clubs. Her musical heritage is influenced by her Brazilian mother, who was a dancer in a popular 1970s dance group before settling in Hamburg.

She is also known under the aliases Alexs, Almina, and Alexandra Prinz-Ihmig.
