Akira
Biography
Akira is a German dance project launched in 2004 by producers Manuel Reuter and Yann Peifer, the duo also behind the better-known Cascada.
The project’s first single, Piece Of Heaven, a cover of a song by the band A Seven, features Natalie Horler, Cascada’s lead singer. The second single, Wanna Be With You, was produced by M.A.S. de Vries; Michel Diederiks later joined the production team for subsequent singles.
The Akira project was discontinued shortly after its launch due to the immediate and growing success the duo experienced with their other creation, Cascada.
