Biography

Adelén, born Adelén Rusillo Steen on November 4, 1996, is a Norwegian-Spanish singer.

Her career launched in 2013 when she participated in the Norwegian national selection for Eurovision, the Melodi Grand Prix, with the song Bombo, written by Ina Wroldsen and the duo Quiz & Larossi, where she finished in second place.

The track Bombo saw immediate success, reaching number two on the Norwegian iTunes chart and entering the official singles chart, VG-lista. The song also won the OGAE Second Chance Contest 2013 and the Eurodanceweb Award 2013, achieving the highest score ever recorded in the history of that award.

Later in 2013, she signed a deal with Simon Fuller and released another single titled Baila Conmigo on June 21.

In 2014, she recorded the song Olé for the official FIFA World Cup album, One Love, One Rhythm, which went straight to number one on the Norwegian iTunes chart.

Subsequent years saw the release of several singles: Spell On Me in 2015, Wild Like Me in 2016, followed by the electropop track Go Home and the disco-influenced Big Bad Bitter in 2017.

In 2018, after leaving her label to sign with Sony Music Norway, she unveiled the single What's Next, which features an ode to her Spanish heritage. She then collaborated with the Colombian duo Kapla y Miky on Beat and released the Latin-beat track Somewhere We Can Talk in 2019.

Her 2021 comeback was marked by the emotional pop ballad Jaded, followed by a dance version of the song. Later singles included Safety Light and Obssesed.
