4 Clubbers
Biography
4 Clubbers is a collaborative project born from the association of the two successful German projects Alphabet City, Junkfood Junkies (Jens Kindervater and Bernd Johnen) and Future Breeze (Markus Boehme and Martin Hensing).
Their first single, an energetic trance cover of the club anthem Children by Robert Miles, became a huge worldwide success, quickly reaching number one on the main German dance charts and number two on the European Dance Charts, and establishing itself as a staple club hit, especially in Europe.
The following single, Together, was also a major club track; unlike the first, it was a fully original production that introduced singer Stefanie Giesen, discovered by the team during a talent contest in a German club.
Early 2003 their third single, Someday, again featuring Stefanie Giesen on vocals, entered the top 10 of the main German dance charts; a separate vinyl version also included a typical cover of the 1980s classic by Ultravox, Hymn.
The Junkfood Junkies project, one of the two entities behind 4 Clubbers, had a notable trajectory: formed by Jens and Bernd after meeting in a record shop in Aix-la-Chapelle in 1994, the duo achieved international success with singles such as Work it, J.U.N.K., For Your Mind (in collaboration with guitarist Ralph Dirrichs and Terri Bjerre, singer of Future Breeze) and Funky Horn. Their track The journey, released in 2001, became one of the most influential hard house anthems in Ibiza and England.
