Perpetuous Dreamer

Perpetuous Dreamer

Biography

Perpetuous Dreamer is a trance project created by Dutch DJ and producer Armin Van Buuren.

The project began as a solo venture with the release of the track Future Fun-Land. Armin van Buuren later collaborated with other artists to develop the project. He worked with the duo Fuel 2 Fire on the iconic track The Sound Of Goodbye. Production later expanded to include Adrian & Raz and Dennis Alfarez for the track Dust.wav. The vocals on these two key tracks, The Sound Of Goodbye and Dust.wav, were performed by singer Elles de Graaf.

The project is also known for other notable productions like Dub.wav, and all these tracks have been subject to numerous remixed versions over time.

In late 2007, the track The Sound Of Goodbye was re-released under a series of new remixes, but this time directly under the artist’s main name, Armin van Buuren, marking a step in the project’s evolution.

Armin van Buuren is known for using many aliases and side projects throughout his career. These include Rising Star, Hyperdrive Inc., Gimmick, Problem Boy, Amsterdance, Armania, The Shoeshine Factory, Armin Van Buuren, El Guitaro, Gig, Darkstar (4), Misteri A, Vit-Armin B, Vorlaut Boy, and Butt Spanker. Perpetuous Dreamer is part of this multitude of pseudonyms, focusing specifically on a trance sound, sometimes vocal.

The project’s name has seen some spelling variations, sometimes referenced as Perpertuous Dreamer, Perpetous Dreamer, Perpetual Dreamer, or Perpetuoas D.
