Biography

Davis Lee, real name Fauntleroy Skeete Davis (also known as Leroy Skeete Davis), is a musician recognized for his unique style on piano and keyboards as well as his arranging skills.

His career spans mainly from the mid-1970s to the late 1990s, during which he worked as a studio and stage musician. He collaborated with numerous artists and groups, including The New Foundations, Boney M., Lian Ross, Modern Talking and Charles D. Lewis.

His most notable contribution is to the first and biggest hit by Modern Talking, the song You're my Heart, You're my Soul (composed by Dieter Bohlen), for which he did all the arrangements and played the piano and keyboard parts. He also created the piano melodies for four other tracks on the album, including You Can Win if You Want.

In the 1980s, as a composer and producer, he achieved his first successes with songs performed by Lian Ross and Creative Connection. Two of his compositions, written in collaboration with Luis Rodrigues, won two song festivals. He is also credited as co-producer and arranger of the version of You're my Heart, You're my Soul by the group Creative Connection.

He is sometimes referenced under the alias Leroy Skeete.
