Biography

Michael Gray, born Michael Anthony Gray, is a DJ and electronic music producer from London. He is best known as one half of the production and remix duo Full Intention, formed with Jon Pearn. This Grammy-nominated duo has produced numerous classics such as I Love America or I'll Be Waiting, and has worked with renowned artists like Paloma Faith, Jamiroquai, or Whitney Houston. Their remix of Amazing was also Grammy-nominated. Michael Gray also runs his own label, Sultra Records.

His solo career was marked by a global success in 2004 with the single The Weekend featuring Shena, which reached number 7 on the UK charts and number 1 in Poland. The track had a strong crossover impact, being used in several television commercials. His second single, Borderline with Shelly Poole, entered directly at number 12 in the UK. Among his other solo productions are Somewhere Beyond with Steve Edwards and Walk Into The Sun with Ann Saunderson, Shena and Xavier.

As a producer and composer, he has collaborated with various artists, co-writing and producing for the band Portobella (with Luciana), and working on Shena’s solo single Electro Sexual, used in the film ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’. He has also produced for Danielle Senior, Penny Foster, or Midnight Mystery Club.

Michael Gray is active under numerous pseudonyms and aliases, including Reflex, Molella, Sub Rosa, Nuzzoli, C/R/2, Hi Fashion, Curtis Sylvers, People From Mars (2) and Robot Man (2). His name variations also include forms like Michael Grey, Mike Gray, or Mikel Gray. His style, primarily rooted in house and disco house, along with his work with Full Intention, has established him as a respected and highly sought-after figure on the global dance music scene.
