Biography
Mufasa is a Ghanaian / American-born DJ and producer based in the USA.
Alongside Hypeman, he became part of an unlikely duo that rose to global fame after a viral adaptation of MK’s legendary remix of Nightcrawlers’ club classic Push The Feeling On. The clip begins with “It’s Friday then, It’s Saturday, Sunday, what!” and is sampled at the start of their song Friday with Riton and Nightcrawlers.
During lockdown, the video brought joy to millions around the world and became an instant TikTok hit. Figures such as Katy Perry, Kanye West, and Gordon Ramsey helped fuel its popularity, paving the way for a challenge that drew tens of thousands of participants.
