Mike Koglin

Biography

Mike Koglin, real name Michael Koglin, is a German DJ and producer based in London since 1990.

He burst onto the music scene in 1998 with his club anthem and UK Top 20 hit, The Silence, one of the defining tracks of the British trance phenomenon that established him as a key figure in electronic music.

The Grammy-nominated producer and remixer has since released a steady stream of productions under his own name or one of his many aliases, as well as over 70 remixes within a seven-year span.

In 2003, he launched his label Noys Music, described as one of the UK’s foremost trance labels, which he created as a platform for his collaborations with some of the genre’s biggest names and for new international artist signings.

This approach earned Noys massive support from the world’s leading DJs such as Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond, and Paul Van Dyk.

Mike Koglin has enjoyed comparable success behind the decks with select performances, including at Passion and Gallery in the UK, while international highlights feature Japan’s largest club, Velfarre in Tokyo, the world-renowned Zouk club in Malaysia, and the Gaudi Arena in Moscow.

His recent festival appearances include headlining the Illusion Festival in Belgium alongside Marco V, the Millennium Experience event in Finland, and the San Francisco Love Parade in 2005.

His DJ style reflects the tracks he produces: energetic and euphoric. Blending powerful tech-trance with melodic elements, his peak-time sets regularly feature his personal re-edits of his favourite artists’ tracks, as well as, of course, his own latest productions and remixes.

He is also active under several pseudonyms, including B-Boy, DJ K, K-Lab (2), Mark Louis, The Word, The Spirit (2), and Planet K (2).
