Schiller
Biography
Schiller is the primary project of Christopher von Deylen, a German composer of electronic music. Schiller’s music can be described as trance and ambient. Christopher von Deylen does not sing himself, so he frequently collaborates with other well‑known singers and musicians from the electronic scene.
Among his many vocal collaborators are Peter Heppner, Kim Sanders, Maya Saban, miLù, Sarah Brightman, Moya Brennan, Despina Vandi, Xavier Naidoo, Helen Boulding, Alexander Veljanov, Colbie Caillat, Lang Lang, Mila Mar, Tarja Turunen and Nadia Ali. He has also worked with the musician Mike Oldfield.
The project was founded in collaboration with Mirko von Schlieffen, who is no longer active. The name of the project is a tribute to one of von Deylen’s heroes, the poet Friedrich Schiller.
Schiller is one of Germany’s most significant electronic artists, awarded multiple Gold and Platinum records. The project, an Echo Award winner and Grammy Awards nominee, has played over a hundred sold‑out concerts, acclaimed by audiences and the press.
