Biography
Scott Alexander Brown, better known as Scott Brown, is a Scottish DJ and music producer born on December 28, 1972 in Glasgow.
A key figure in the Scottish music scene, he is primarily associated with bouncy techno, a unique sound that launched many artists. His production covers a broad electronic spectrum, from happy hardcore and hard trance to gabber and hardcore techno.
He founded the Evolution Records label in 1994 and also released music on his own labels: Evolution Plus, Evolved, Evolution Gold, Poosh, Screwdriver, and Twisted Vinyl.
He uses numerous aliases, including Annihilator, The Scotchman, New Style Anarchists, Genaside, Mr. Brown, Lord Of Hardcore, Hardware (3), SP 12, Firestarter (2), William Orbit, Plus System, Genetik, Mook (2), Dream Collective, Hardcore Authority, Punisher (2), Trance Fiction, DJ Equazion, Futuretribe, and X-Tech (2).
He achieved chart success with his band Q-Tex, formed in 1991, and collaborated under the names Interstate and Bass-X with his brother Stewart.
His internationally released work solidified his status as a pillar of the British hardcore and electronic scene.
