NATTI NATASHA

Biography

Natalia Alexandra Gutiérrez, known by her stage name Natti Natasha, is a reggaeton singer, songwriter, and actress from Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic.

Raised around a wide range of musical influences, she enrolled at Santiago’s School of Fine Arts at age seven, where she developed her vocal skills and later described that time as one of the best of her life. As a teenager, she began recording in studios as a hobby, sometimes with friends.

She later decided to move to the Bronx in New York, a step she described as “one of the craziest” in her family. To make a name for herself, she frequented many studios, often working without pay, until a producer friend from Santiago lent her his New York studio.

Her first major opportunity came when icon Don Omar signed her to his label, Orfanato Music Group. Their collaborations, including Dutty Love and Perdido en tus Ojos, left a mark on the industry. Her first project, the EP All About Me, was released on March 28, 2012.

After leaving Don Omar’s label and signing with Pina Records in 2016, 2017 became her breakthrough year. She collaborated with Daddy Yankee on Otra Cosa and released the global hit Criminal featuring Ozuna, whose video surpassed one billion views in five months.

Her long-awaited debut album, ilumiNATTI, came out on February 15, 2019. It included 15 tracks, with collaborations such as Te Lo Dije with Anitta. The song La Mejor Version de Mi became a bachata hit thanks to its remix with Romeo Santos.

Her second album, NATTIVIDAD, was released on September 24, 2021. It featured 17 tracks and collaborations with artists such as Becky G, Maluma, and Prince Royce. The album’s release was followed by the documentary series “Everybody Loves Natti,” which documented her pregnancy and her relationship with her fiancé Raphy Pina.
