
Engelina
Biography
Engelina, whose full name is Engelina Andrina Larsen, is a Danish singer and singer-songwriter. She grew up singing with her two older sisters in a musical family whose parents performed as a folk duo.
Originally a jazz and soul vocalist, she turned to electronic music when she collaborated with DJ Encore on the 2001 track I See Right Through To You.
Their joint album Intuition sold over 25,000 copies in Denmark.
She later joined the female pop trio Sha Li Mar alongside Christina Undhjem and Ida Corr.
The group, known from the TV show Venner for livet, released a self-titled album in 2002.
Engelina has also released solo material, such as Walking in the Sky (Original Extended) in 2002.
From the late 2000s she focused mainly on writing for other artists and has composed for international electronic and pop acts including Kylie Minogue, Sash!, Basshunter, Medina, Rune, Electric Lady Lab, Kato, Shane Filan, Shawn Christopher, Aqua and Aura Dione.
She is sometimes credited as Angelina or Engeline.
