Maxine
Biography
Maxine, 26, is a pop artist and singer-songwriter from The Hague. She offers danceable Scandinavian pop with Dutch influences, blending sparkling, sensual and eccentric elements.
Her musical style is inspired by artists such as Zara Larsson, Astrid S, Sabrina Carpenter, Renee Rapp and Olivia Rodrigo. In 2023 she had a breakthrough in Belgium with the single Horen, Zien en Zwijgen.
She studied songwriting in Stockholm, where her passion for Scandinavian pop truly blossomed. Alongside her solo career she has written for and with artists like Maan, Ronnie Flex, Pommelien Thijs, Maksim, Regi and Roxeanne Hazes, and penned songs for brands such as Hunkemöller and Disney.
Raised as the youngest of eight in a large, warm and theatrical family, she inherited the family’s artistic streak and, from a young age, describes herself as extravagant and fond of all things ‘girly’.
Her musical journey began in primary school when she wrote her first song about the climate, and she often dreamed of a star life in her diary. With an open, joyful and sparkling personality, laced with self-deprecation, she connects with her audience.
