Whyzer
Biography
Whyzer is a dance project from Belgium, active since 2001. In its early days, the group was produced at Koen De Beir’s studios with him as producer, and received remixes by artists such as Ramses Decraene and Peter Bellaert. The lyrics were notably written by Alain Vande Putte, who is also a lyricist for the group K3.
Their breakthrough in the charts came with the single Teach Me How. However, the follow-up tracks Colour The Night and the first single Love is Calling did not manage to replicate that success in terms of rankings.
The initial line-up included Yannick De Schryver as producer and songwriter, and Caroline Meys as vocalist until 2024. Several dancers—Stéphanie, Carolien, and Jill—were also part of the group until 2002.
Over time, Whyzer evolved into the solo project of Belgian producer Yannick De Schryver. After a period of absence, he made a notable return in 2024 with Off Grid and Dreamkiller, marking the start of a new artistic phase.
The project is characterized by a blend of emotion, energy, and innovation. After the feelgood track Shake Things Up in collaboration with Austin Taylor, Whyzer continued with Jordan Grace on the single Secrets Don’t Die, confirming the momentum of this musical evolution. In 2024, the catalogue was made available on all streaming platforms.
