U-Jean

Biography

U-Jean, also known under the alias Alex Hutson, is recognized for his collaborations on the tracks “Turn This Club Around” and “Animal” by a German dance group. His first single, a cover of Heaven Is a Place on Earth featuring vocals by Carlprit, was released in June 2011.

Born in Atlanta and raised by his father, a gospel singer, he moved to Germany after his studies as an American soldier. In Darmstadt, he joined the U.S. Europe Soldier Show in Schwetzingen, thus beginning a professional singing career that led him to over 200 concerts per year across Europe.

After leaving the army in June 2008, he joined the Sweet Soul Music Revue and performed with The King Kamehameha Band from Frankfurt. He founded his own band, the U-Jean band, in 2009.

Active as a singer, producer, and songwriter, he created the music production company Whazz Crackin in the spring of 2010 with his partners.
