Trisha
Biography
Trisha is an Italian electronic music project associated with Italo Disco and Eurobeat. It is produced by musicians Bruno Rosellini and Fabrizio Baldoni, and features the voice of singer Clara Moroni (Clara Elena Moroni, also known by the stage name Cherry), born in Milan on 3 November 1964.
Active in Europe and Japan, Clara Moroni has composed and produced numerous Eurobeat and Eurodance tracks, contributing both as a backing vocalist and as a lead voice. As a solo artist she released five projects (albums and EPs), with her first two issued as Clara & Black Cars: “Chi ha paura di chi” (1990) followed by “Spiriti” (1992). In January 2004 she released the album “Ten worlds”, entirely in English and made up of songs written over a ten-year span.
In 1995 she founded the label Delta (later D.M.I.), through which she released Eurobeat material that achieved success in the Japanese market. She was among the founders of Sinclairestyle and Delta Records, and worked with Asia Records and Time Records.
She is also known for being Vasco Rossi’s backing vocalist from 1996 to 2017; he nicknamed her “la Ferrari del rock”. In 1997 she moved to San Francisco (United States) and remained in the U.S. until 2000, with studio work and tours (including with the Californian band Pablo Cruise) and dates in Australia.
In 2010, with her band 2HOT4, she released the self-produced album “Bambina brava” on her DMI label; its first single, “Io non piango più”, is a cover of Who Knew. On 23 October 2012 a five-track EP titled “Sono quello che sono (parte 1)” was released digitally, including a cover of “Vola” by Ivano Fossati; Luigi Schiavone contributed and it was produced by Lorenzo Cazzaniga. The EP was preceded by the radio single “Sei” (from 14 September) and later issued on CD on 29 January 2013 (ET-Team/TopRecords/Edel).
