Biography
TIX is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, and producer, whose real name is Andreas Haukeland, born on April 12, 1993. He is from Bærum, a suburb of Oslo.
He is considered the biggest producer of «russemusik» in Norway, a genre associated with high school graduation celebrations. His true artistic breakthrough came in 2015 with the track «Sjeiken 2015», a typical song of this festive period.
His first album, «Dømt og berømt», released in 2016, is primarily composed of these «russelåter». He then went on to achieve further success, placing six singles at number one on the Norwegian charts (Topplista). His musical style is often categorized within the electronic, dance, and Norwegian pop genres.
In 2021, he represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Fallen Angel. His second studio album, «Enten går det bra, ellers går det over», was released in March 2022.
Andreas Haukeland has Tourette syndrome, a condition characterized by involuntary tics. During his childhood, he was bullied because of this syndrome and was nicknamed «tics», a term he later reclaimed to create his stage name, TIX.
Beyond his music career, he is actively involved in mental health awareness, publicly sharing his personal experiences related to Tourette syndrome, loneliness, and suicidal thoughts.
