Biography

Teflon Brothers are a Finnish group from Helsinki. The project includes Heikki Kuula, Mikko Kuoppala, Jani Tuohimaa and Tuomas Uimonen, and the band is also described as consisting of Pyhimys, Heikki Kuula and Voli.

In 2006 they released their first single, Matkal kotiin, which was also featured on the soundtrack of the film “Adihasla”. Their 2009 album “T” peaked at number 26 on Finland’s official albums chart. In April 2010, Teflon Brothers offered the free mixtape “Iso hätä”, which also included songs by other artists.

The second album “©” arrived in August 2010 and also peaked at number 26. In January 2013, their third album “Valkoisten dyynien ratsastajat” reached number 9. The track Seksikkäin jäbä, featuring Stig and Meiju Suvas, entered Finland’s official singles chart and peaked at number 3.

In 2014, Kendo Anthem also hit number 3, followed by their first number-one single, Maradona (kesä '86); both songs appear on their fourth album “Isänpäivä”. That same year, the group looked for a new member via an online bidding process and hired professional poker player Ilari Sahamies, who paid 50,000 euros for the role; he later appeared as a featured guest on the 2015 song Pämppää.

In 2021, Teflon Brothers attempted to represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest by entering Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu with I Love You, featuring Swedish singer Pandora. They finished in 2nd place with 180 points, placing 2nd with televoters and 5th with the international juries.
