T.H. Express
Biography
TH Express is a project created by the French record company Ramdam Factory in collaboration with Mauro Farina from SAIFAM Publishing Group.
The project is presented with Fauve as frontwoman, while Ramses (model and dancer Djanis Mitchell) handles the rap parts. The first two singles, I'm On Your Side and Missing In The Rain, became dancefloor hits in Spain, Japan, Benelux, South America, and especially France, where the act played most of its shows and where its video clips were filmed.
On the sleeve of one version of I'm On Your Side, the credit “TH Express feat Moe” appears. It is also considered highly likely that Fauve never actually sang for TH Express. On I'm On Your Side, the voice is said to be Annerley Gordon. For the other songs on the album, rumors first claimed Melody Castellari sang on Love 4 Liberty, but it was later revealed that the vocals actually belong to singer Jackie Bodimead. Fauve is said to have contributed only the French spoken parts on Crazy 4 Love. As for Djanis Mitchell, he is also thought to have lip-synced, with the raps performed by Daniel Sous.
In April 1996, the album Love 4 Liberty was released along with a third single of the same name. Titles mentioned from the album include Luv Luv Luv and Coming Up, the latter later covered by the project Piccadilly. It is also stated that while the first singles were typically eurodance, Love 4 Liberty leaned more toward house, in line with the European dance mainstream at the time.
Daniel Sous is thought to have provided the male raps on I Love To Dance, Missing In The Rain, Nite Away, Lonely Mind, and Crazy 4 Love. The ragga-raps on I'm On Your Side and Love Hate Love may have been performed by another rapper who remains unidentified.
