Biography

Stereo Amp Surfer is a trance music project created by Nils Karsten, who also uses the aliases Van Der Karsten and Mashmex.

Born in the 70s, he grew up with a Sinclair ZX81 computer, Atari, Game Boy, and all the great synth music of the era. His heart truly beats for the glorious time of Emulator, Jupiter, Matrix1000, and Prophet synthesizers, as well as Simmons drums.

With over 300 productions and releases in different genres, he draws inspiration from the iconic synths, powerful vocals, and infectious rhythms of the 80s, inspired by artists like Madonna, Level 42, Mr. Mister, and John Parr.
