Biography

Soraya Arnelas, full name Soraya Arnelas Rubiales, is a Spanish singer born on 13 September 1982.
She gained national recognition by finishing second in the 2005 season of the music reality show Operación Triunfo, broadcast on Telecinco.

Her recording career began in 2005 with her debut album « Corazón De Fuego ». A year later, in 2006, she released an album of covers of 1980s hits titled « Ochenta’s ». Her third studio album, « Sin Miedo », was released in 2008.

In 2009, Soraya Arnelas was chosen to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow with the song La noche es para mí, taken from the album « Sin Miedo ». The song finished 23rd in the final ranking.

Her fourth album, « Dreamer », was released in 2010. Her music is often associated with the pop and dance genres.
