Rockstroh
Biography
Ronny Rockstroh, born on 13 November 1973 in Leipzig, is a German DJ and producer associated with Dance, Trance, House, electronic and Electro house. Active in the club scene for many years, he has released productions that repeatedly reached the Top 5 of key Dance charts and received strong rotation on radio and television.
In 2009 he achieved his breakthrough with the anthem Licht: within one month the track collected multiple number-one placements across Dance charts and entered the sales charts. In 2010 he followed up with Tanzen, which stayed in the sales charts for 19 weeks. He signed a deal with Universal Music for the singles Licht and Tanzen, and then appeared on TV channels including RTL2, VOX, MTV, VIVA and PRO7.
In 2011 he released Wolke 7 as hit single number three; it again reached number one on various charts and ran for 20 weeks, surpassing Tanzen. On 08/10/2012, the BVD e.V. awarded him the German DJ Award for the second time, and he won in the “Best DJ” category.
In 2017, his joint production with Kerstin Ott, freier Vogel, received a Gold Award. In 2022, he introduced a new step in his career with Birth to the Sun, presented as his first English-language dancefloor hit.
