Quench
Biography
The Quench project is primarily driven by producer Sean Quinn and Christopher J. Dolan, who is also known by his real name, CJ Dolan.
Their 1994 track, Dreams, is an anthem of the dance scene that redefined the trance sound and firmly established Quench’s place in the global history of electronic music. Licensed worldwide, it sold one million copies. It reached the Top 10 of the mainstream charts in France, #2 on the UK dance charts, and the Top 20 of the UK mainstream chart.
The track has received numerous remixes over the years by artists ranging from Carl Cox to Tony DeVitt, with the most recent in 2007 by Sebastien Leger.
In addition, the name Quench is also used by another musical project: that of brothers Don and Roel Funcken, also known as Funckarma, from the Netherlands. This incarnation of Quench produces atmospheric electronica blended with gritty hip-hop rhythms, with releases on labels such as Merck, U-Cover, and n5md.
