Plummet
Biography
Plummet is an American electronic music duo from Florida, formed by producer and remixer Eric B. Muniz (also known as DJ X) and singer Cheramy Burgess.
The group achieved notable success in 2001 with their trance cover of the song Damaged, which became a major hit in Europe. This version, particularly the Antillas remix, propelled the duo’s career.
Subsequently, Plummet recorded other popular covers, such as Cherish The Day in 2004 and 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover in 2005, which charted on the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay.
The project evolved over time, with Eric B. Muniz remaining the main producer while other singers, such as Erica Ayala, BJ Carlson, or Jelica Thomson, collaborated on tracks after Cheramy Burgess’s departure. Their music primarily falls within the trance, house, and techno genres.
Plummet continues to tour in the United States with DJ X.
